Privacy Policy

Effective 13 September 2026

Mahjong Club ("the app") is published by GV Dev ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we do not run our own servers and we do not collect personal information ourselves. The only data that leaves your device goes to Google, for advertising, for purchases and, if you choose to sign in, for Play Games leaderboards.

Information stored only on your device

Your games in progress, statistics, settings and your Premium status are stored locally on your device. They are not sent to us. Uninstalling the app deletes them. If you use Android's backup feature, Android may include this data in your Google account backup under Google's terms.

Advertising

The free version of the app shows advertising served by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. To serve and measure ads, Google's advertising SDK may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and app information and interactions with ads. Google uses this information under its own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before any personalised advertising is requested and lets you refuse it. You can change your choice at any time from Settings, under Privacy settings. Google's list of advertising partners is available at support.google.com/admob/answer/9012903.

You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Google settings under Ads.

Premium subscribers see no advertising, and the app makes no advertising requests for them.

Purchases

Premium is sold as a subscription through Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment and holds your payment details; we never see them. The app receives from Google only the information needed to know that the subscription is active, such as a purchase token and its status, and keeps that on your device. Google's handling of purchase data is described in Google's privacy policy and the Google Play terms.

Play Games Services

The app can connect to Google Play Games Services so you can post scores and times to leaderboards. This is optional and only happens if you sign in. When you do, Google shares with the app your Play Games player ID, display name and avatar, and the scores you post are visible to other players on the leaderboards. You can sign out or manage your Play Games profile in the Google Play Games app or your Google account settings.

Information we do not collect

The app has no account system, no analytics of our own, no crash reporting service and no server that receives data from you. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with anyone other than the Google services named above, which act under their own policies.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, or under 16 in the European Economic Area, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will help remove it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal information, and to object to its processing. Because we hold no personal information ourselves, requests about advertising, purchase or Play Games data are best made to Google through the links above or your Google account. Local app data is deleted by uninstalling the app. For anything else, write to us at gvdevgames@gmail.com.

Security

Data stays on your device, protected by Android's app sandbox, and travels to Google over encrypted connections.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app changes. The current version is always available inside the app under Settings, with the effective date at the top.
