Privacy Policy
Effective 7 October 2026
Alias: Word Club ("the app") is published by GV Dev ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we run no servers and collect no personal information ourselves. Everything the app knows stays on your phone. The only data that leaves your device goes to Google, for advertising in the free version and for the one-time purchase, and to us only if you choose to email us.
Information stored only on your device
The app keeps the following in its private storage on your device: the game in progress (the team names and player names you typed, the scores and the words of the current game), your statistics, your settings (sound, vibration, colour theme, the last game setup), the list of words already played so they do not come back too soon, the words you add yourself under My words, your purchase status, and the time until which a watched video has opened the extra packs.
None of this is sent to us. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in Android settings, deletes it. If you use Android's backup feature, Android may include this data in your Google account backup under Google's terms, and restore it on a new phone.
Advertising
The free version of the app shows advertising served by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC: a small banner on the start screen, one full-screen ad when you leave a finished game (never during a turn), and a short video that you can choose to watch to open the extra word packs for the evening. To serve and measure ads, Google's advertising software may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and app information and your interactions with ads. Google uses this information under its own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before any ad is requested and lets you refuse personalised advertising. You can change your choice at any time from Settings, under Ad privacy choices. Google's list of advertising partners is available at support.google.com/admob/answer/9012903.
You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Google settings under Ads.
Once your purchase is recognised, the app shows no advertising and stops requesting ads.
Purchases
All packs, no ads is a one-time purchase made through Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment and holds your payment details; we never see them. The app receives from Google only what it needs to know that the purchase exists, such as a purchase token and its state, and keeps that on your device. Restore purchase asks Google Play which purchases your Google account has made in the app. Google's handling of purchase data is described in Google's privacy policy and the Google Play terms.
Emails you send us
Found a mistake? opens your own mail app with a message addressed to us, prefilled with the app version, the word language and the words of that turn, so we can find the word in question. Nothing is sent until you press send in your mail app, and you can edit or delete anything in the message first. If you send it, we receive your email address and what you wrote. We use them only to answer you and to correct the word lists, keep them no longer than that takes, and do not share them with anyone.
Permissions
The app asks for internet access and network state, which are needed for advertising and the purchase, and for vibration. It does not request your location, contacts, camera, microphone, files or any other sensitive permission.
Information we do not collect
The app has no account system, no analytics of our own, no crash reporting service and no server that receives data from you. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with anyone other than the Google services named above, which act under their own policies.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, or under 16 in the European Economic Area, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Family mode is a deck of simple words for groups of mixed ages, played on an adult's phone; it does not change what the app collects. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will help remove it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal information, and to object to its processing. Because we hold no personal information ourselves, except the emails you choose to send us, requests about advertising or purchase data are best made to Google through the links above or your Google account. Local app data is deleted by uninstalling the app. For your emails, or anything else, write to us at gvdevgames@gmail.com.
Security
Data stays on your device, protected by Android's app sandbox, and travels to Google over encrypted connections.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app changes. The current version is always available at this address, which the app links to under Settings, with the effective date at the top.
