Data deletion
Alias: Word Club keeps everything it knows only on your device: games, statistics, settings, the words you added yourself, the lists of words already played and your purchase status. GV Dev runs no servers and holds no copy of this data, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side, apart from an email you may have sent us. Here is how to remove everything that exists:
Data on your device
- Uninstall the app, or clear its storage under Android settings > Apps > Alias: Word Club > Storage. Either deletes the games, statistics, settings, your own words, the played-words lists and the locally cached purchase status.
- If Android backed the app up to your Google account, delete that backup under Google account settings > Backups, or simply uninstall and reinstall the app.
Advertising ID (used by Google AdMob in the free version)
- Android settings > Google > Ads (or Privacy > Ads) lets you reset the advertising ID or delete it entirely. Google's own retention of ad data is described at policies.google.com/privacy.
Purchases
- The record of the one-time purchase is held by Google Play under your Google account, see play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory. It is what lets you restore the purchase on a new phone, so it is not deleted with the app.
Emails you sent us
- If you used "Found a mistake?" and sent us an email, write to gvdevgames@gmail.com from the same address and ask us to delete it. We will do so within 30 days.
Anything else
