Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and GV Dev ("we", "us") for the use of the Alias: Word Club app ("the app"). By installing or using the app you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on Android devices you own or control, for your own entertainment, in line with these terms and the Google Play terms of service. All rights not expressly granted remain ours.

The one-time purchase

All packs, no ads is an optional one-time purchase that removes advertising and opens the extra word packs and your own word list, for as long as the app exists.

• It is sold through Google Play. The price is shown in Google Play before you confirm and may differ by country. It is not a subscription and nothing renews.
• The purchase is tied to the Google account that made it. On a new phone, or after reinstalling, Restore purchase in Settings brings it back at no charge, as long as you are signed in to that account.
• Refunds are handled by Google under the Google Play refund policy. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.
• The content of the packs may be changed, corrected or added to over time. If a pack you paid for is removed, contact us.

Advertising and the free unlock

The free version shows advertising provided by Google AdMob. Advertisers, not we, are responsible for the content of their ads and for anything you buy from them. Watching a video ad opens the extra word packs for a few hours; this is a courtesy, not a purchase, and depends on an ad being available.

Your own words

Words you add under My words stay on your device and belong to you. You are responsible for them: do not add words that are unlawful, that infringe someone's rights, or that would be offensive to the people you play with.

Acceptable use

You agree not to modify, reverse engineer, decompile or create derivative works of the app; not to remove or interfere with advertising or the purchase check; not to redistribute the app, its word lists or its artwork; and not to use tampered builds.

Intellectual property

The app, including its code, artwork, characters, sounds, word lists and text, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and other laws. The app's artwork and logo are ours. Alias: Word Club is an independent game and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any board game publisher. Google, Google Play and AdMob are trademarks of Google LLC.

Availability and changes

We may update, change or discontinue the app or any part of it at any time. Updates may be required to keep using the app. We do not promise that the app will always be available or error-free.

Disclaimer

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. The word lists are written for a party game; we do not warrant them to be complete, accurate or suitable for every group.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Termination

These terms apply for as long as you use the app. We may end your licence if you breach them. You can end the agreement at any time by uninstalling the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection law of the country where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is available at this address, with the effective date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
